What's Open, What's Closed on Labor Day in Bethel

The official end to summer is upon us with Labor Day fast approaching.

Here’s what’s open and what’s closed on Labor Day.

Town Hall and all town offices are closed Monday. This includes the Senior Center and the Public Library. All schools, both public and private, are closed on Labor Day as well.

All federal and state offices are also closed today. This includes the Post Office, as well as the State Department of Emergency Management and other state public health offices.

Here is some additional information on what is open and closed on Labor Day:

• Banks have the option of remaining open in Connecticut, but hardly any do, and even TDBanks are closed.
• Bethel Public Library
• Financial markets, such as the New York Stock Exchange
• Post offices
• Bethel Town Hall
• State offices, including the state Department of Motor Vehicles
• U.S. government offices
• CT Transit commuter bus service
• Metro-North Railroad’s Grand Central north entrances will be closed.
• Costco
