Where to See Fireworks This Fourth of July Weekend

There are plenty of locations and nights to choose from to catch a glimpse of an American tradition.

Friday, July 1

  • Danbury: The Danbury Fair Mall, 7 Backus Ave. The fireworks display is set to start at dusk. Rain date is Tuesday, July 5. 
  • Westport: Compo Beach Road, Sponsored by the Westport Police Athletic League, this event starts at dark at Compo Beach. Parking tickets are $30 and are available through the town's Parks & Recreation Office and police station. Rain date is Tuesday, July 5.

 

Saturday, July 2

  • Ridgefield: Ridgefield High School, 700 North Salem Road. Sponsored by Fairfield County Bank, $15 parking tickets are required through Ridgefield's Town Hall, Chamber of Commerce and Ancona's Market. Rain date is Sunday, July 3.
  • New Milford: The New Milford Lion’s Club is sponsoring fireworks at Fort Hill Still Meadow starting at 9:30 p.m. Rain date is Sunday, July 3.

  • Norwalk: Shady Beach on Canfield Road. Expect a whole day of music and a night full of fireworks.

 

Monday, July 4

  • Middlebury: Quassy Amusement Park. Enjoy a day at an amusement park and experience fireworks in 3-D. Glasses will be sold for $1 to benefit Prevent Blindness Tri-State and there is also a $7 parking fee.
  • Wilton: Wilton High School. Fireworks start at 9:30 p.m. and are put on by Wilton's Parks and Recreation Department.
