Senior David Suske has the ability to bring a group together with cohesiveness and friendship, especially when the group is the entire Bethel High School student body.

Suske is the president of the student government at Bethel High. Previously known as the Student Council, the program was revamped with Suske's help and suggestions and became a more student driven system. Suske said he had noticed that too many groups were doing similar fundraisers, duplicating events and were not making as much money as they could.

He created a system with administrators, including Laura Steimetz, Theresa Yonsky and Amanda Kirk, that would benefit the school more effectively. The energy and effort put in by the SGA trickled down to the four class levels and fundraisers and activities have now become well-oiled machines. Suske said he hopes that these changes can be a "legacy" of sorts as he is very proud of what he has done as SGA President.

On a personal note, Suske said he also worked with fellow students John Tarr and Andrew Baumgartner; a team described as a "Triumvirate," a reference to Ancient Rome, Julius Ceasar and three powerful individuals that each have specific strengths.

Suske is a also member of HVCASA , the Housatonic Valley Coalition Against Substance Abuse which educates students on the dangers of Drugs and Alcohol. He recently competed in the  Contest and was awarded second place after performing a dance skit with Jenn Correnty.

Suske said he looks forward to attending the University of Ottawa in the fall and seeing as much of the world as he can after graduating BHS.
