Will Haskell Endorsed By NARAL Pro-Choice Connecticut

Westport, CT—NARAL Pro-Choice Connecticut, a grassroots pro-choice advocacy organization in Connecticut, has endorsed State Senator Will Haskell for re-election. The endorsement indicates that Sen. Haskell is the only candidate in the 26th District race who will defend Roe v. Wade at the state level and protect the full range of reproductive services for Connecticut residents.

“In my first two years in the State Senate, I’ve watched as my Republican colleagues proposed multiple bills to curtail access to safe and legal abortions in Connecticut. Having disciplined, pro-choice legislators in the majority in Hartford is the best way to ensure that our state continues to be a national leader in providing safe and comprehensive reproductive services,” said Haskell. “I am very proud to have received this endorsement from NARAL Pro-Choice CT and I promise to continue the fight for reproductive health and freedom for all.”

In 2019, Sen. Haskell co-sponsored legislation that would prohibit deceptive advertising practices by limited service pregnancy centers. Crisis pregnancy centers provide women with counseling and resources, and some are licensed to perform sonograms and pregnancy tests. This proposed legislation would make it illegal for centers to mislead, deceive, or engage in false advertising concerning what services are offered to pregnant women.
