BETHANY, CT — The Bethany Zoning Board of Appeals scheduled two public hearings for Sept. 14, including an appeal involving the placement of a shed on Clay Road and a request for a zoning variance on Earley Court.
The board voted unanimously Aug. 10 to accept an appeal filed by Christopher Defeo concerning a decision by the town's zoning enforcement officer over the placement of a shed at 15 Clay Road. The hearing on the application will be held during the board's Sept. 14 regular meeting.
Chairman Mark Stricker and members Cynthia Megyola, Nicholas Poulmas and Marie Pulito voted in favor. Megyola made the motion, which Poulmas seconded.
The board also unanimously scheduled a Sept. 14 public hearing on a variance application from Matthew B. Carlson for 12 Earley Court.
Poulmas made the motion to accept the application and schedule the hearing, with Megyola seconding. Stricker, Megyola, Poulmas and Pulito voted in favor.
Earlier, the board unanimously approved minutes from its April 13 meeting. Zoning Enforcement Officer Curtis Bosco also attended the Aug. 10 meeting.
The meeting began at 7:13 p.m. and adjourned at 7:21 p.m.
