Bethany & Woodbridge Open Houses Oct. 10-11: A Ranch On Konolds Pond, A Custom Colonial And 4 More

Six Woodbridge homes hold open houses Oct. 10-11, from a $489,900 ranch on Konolds Pond to a $1,025,000 home on Old Quarry Road.

WOODBRIDGE, CT — This weekend's open houses in Bethany and Woodbridge are all on the Woodbridge side, and they lean big: four of the six homes have five bedrooms. There's also a 1951 ranch with water views of Konolds Pond from nearly every room, and a custom Colonial a few steps from the Elderslie Preserve.

Six Woodbridge homes are holding open houses Saturday, Oct. 10, and Sunday, Oct. 11, with prices from $489,900 to $1,025,000, according to Zillow.com. No Bethany homes have open houses scheduled this weekend.

Saturday, Oct. 10

142 Ford Road, Woodbridge, noon to 2 p.m., $599,000. This ranch on more than 1.5 acres has an updated kitchen with quartz counters, a living room fireplace with a wood stove insert and a front porch. It's a three-bedroom, two-bath home with 1,900 square feet and an attached two-car garage. Its price was cut by $16,000 on Oct. 1.

16 Burma Road, Woodbridge, 12:30 to 2 p.m., $819,900. More than $250,000 in upgrades have gone into this cul-de-sac home, according to the listing, including smart-home features and a chef's kitchen with Viking appliances and a large island. It has vaulted wood ceilings with exposed beams and a large deck. It's a five-bedroom home with four full and one half baths and 4,982 square feet on 1.62 acres.

12 Carriage Hill Road, Woodbridge, 2 to 4 p.m., $975,000. Steps from the Elderslie Preserve on a quiet cul-de-sac, this 1994 custom Colonial has owned solar panels, coffered ceilings and crown moldings. The granite kitchen with an island opens to a family room with a stone fireplace. It's a five-bedroom home with four full and three half baths and 5,319 square feet on 1.53 acres. Its price was cut by $75,000 on Oct. 3.

Sunday, Oct. 11

27 Old Quarry Road, Woodbridge, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., $1,025,000. Listed Oct. 3, this 1976 home on a cul-de-sac has wide-plank hardwood floors, architectural ceiling details and a living room built around a floor-to-ceiling tiled fireplace. The dining room opens to the deck, and the kitchen has white cabinetry and granite counters. It's a five-bedroom, four-bath home with 5,396 square feet on 1.6 acres.

1781 Litchfield Turnpike, Woodbridge, 1 to 3 p.m., $489,900. This 1951 ranch overlooks Konolds Pond with mountain views, and the listing says nearly every room has a water view. The same owners have kept it for 23 years. It has one-floor living, a fireplace and a covered deck over the water. It's a three-bedroom, two-bath home with 1,800 square feet.

14 Watrous Lane, Woodbridge, 2:30 to 4 p.m., $599,000. On a cul-de-sac in central Woodbridge, this 1966 raised ranch borders Woodbridge Land Trust property and has a circular driveway, hardwood floors and a finished walkout lower level. It's a five-bedroom, three-bath home with 2,802 square feet on 1.6 acres. Its price was cut by $30,000 on Sept. 30.

Make a weekend of it: Saturday runs from Ford Road at noon to Carriage Hill Road until 4. On Sunday, start on Old Quarry Road, then catch the pond views on Litchfield Turnpike and finish on Watrous Lane.
