Economic Outlook Worsens in Bethany, Woodbridge
In the latest jobs numbers, economic uncertainty surrounds Bethany and Woodbridge.
Jobs figures for June show Woodbridge with its highest unemployment rate all year. Bethany has the highest since April.
Woodbridge’s rate jumped to 5.3 percent from 4.9 percent the month before, according to the Connecticut Department of Labor. Bethany’s unemployment rose from 6 percent in May to 6.2 percent in June.
In total, the two towns have 453 unemployed people.
