ATM Employee Beaten With Handgun, Robbed of Large Sum of Money in Branford: UPDATE

Police are searching for the suspect's vehicle and are asking the public for assistance.

BRANFORD, CT — Branford Police detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a vehicle used by three to four black males who are accused of assaulting and robbing an employee of an ATM machine company while he was in the process of replenishing the machine’s funds at a business, police said.

Police responded to the parking area of 150 West Main Street just after 12:30p.m. and interviewed the victim, who told detectives that he had been assaulted by tall, thin, black males, who struck him with a handgun, ultimately forcing him to relinquish access to a large sum of money, police said in a news release. The suspects fled the area in a white Chevrolet, four door, compact car, police said.
