BRANFORD, CT — The Community Dining Room noted in a social media post this week that there are an "overwhelming number of families in need this holiday season."

This year, 185 children are registered, versus the 65 children in 2022.

"And we are getting so many last-minute requests that we are unable to fill currently," it was revealed.

"We are still in need of donors to adopt around 40 families that are in need. If you are unable to shop for the family, monetary donations are accepted as well and the CDR Staff will shop for you. Please disregard the Nov. 30th deadline as we are still seeking donors. We hope the community can rally where they can so we can meet the need."
