500 Runners Expected for Amber Room Run From the Sun 5K to benefit Ann's Place!

500 runners are expected at the Amber Room Run From the Sun 5k on Thursday evening! The race begins at The Amber Room Colonnade at 6:30 pm.

Danbury- Nearly 500 runners are expected to participate in Thursday evening’s 7th Annual Amber Room Run from the Sun 5K. The race benefits Ann’s Place and starts at 6:30 p.m. at The Amber Room Colonnade on Stacey Rd. in Danbury. Last minute participants can sign up for the event on raceday starting at 4:30 p.m. at the Amber Room Colonade. The certified 5K (3.1 miles) runs from The Amber Room to Candlewood Lake and back. The course passes scenic water views, stately homes and old lake communities. After the race, participants are invited to a post race party featuring an outdoor barbeque, cold drinks and music.

“We are honored and proud to be working together with community businesses once again for our seventh annual 5k race and look forward to seeing everyone participate in support of Ann’s Place,” states Douglas Polistena, Amber Room Director of Sales and Operations.

JB Sports, Coordinator of the Faxon Law Danbury and New Haven Road Races, will coordinate this event with The Amber Room staff. Participants can register now at www.jbsports.com or call (203) 481-5933 for information. The all pre-registered runners receive technical running shirts. Awards are given to the fastest runners in numerous age groups.

Ann’s Place provides comfort and support for people living with cancer and their loved ones. They inspire people to create solutions which will strengthen and sustain them. The vision of Ann’s Place is to create a sanctuary of support and resources for people living with cancer and their loved ones.
