8th Annual Christmas Caddy Event In Branford

Here's how you can make Christmas special for all Branford youths and teens.

From Branford Schools: My name is Rachel LaBonte, I am a Branford High School Senior, and I want to ask you what does Christmas mean to you? Many people think about waking up Christmas morning, opening gifts and eating food while spending time with family. We can easily take for granted that people, even in our small town of Branford, are not fortunate enough to have those opportunities. And they don’t get to experience Christmas the same way.

This is why 8 years ago the Christmas Caddy was born. The Christmas Caddy originated in memory of the Pantani family patriarch, Bruce. He is the man that instilled within his own family the values of giving and helping of others. When he could barely afford to give to his own family, he gave to the less fortunate. For over 40 years the Pantani’s have donated toys, gifts and food through the Branford Counseling Center to help children in the town of Branford. And this year the tradition carries on in the names of Bruce and his beloved wife Johanne whom we also lost this past year. I was honored to be asked to help carry this torch on behalf of the Pantani family. Carrying on the spirit of giving and good will. The continued legacy of the Christmas Caddy lives on. We believe everyone has the ability to make a child’s Christmas better and I hope you can help me make the Christmas Caddy a GREAT success for all the children in Branford who need our help. We will be collecting toys, cash and gift cards in Bruce’s 1969 Cherry Red Cadillac de Ville and delivering them to the Branford Counseling Center.
Help make Christmas brighter for Branford’s children and teens by donating a gift to the Christmas Caddy.
