BRANFORD, CT — Saying the amount of storm debris left after tornado-driven winds ripped through town is "enormous," Branford officials are asking folks for their continued patience as clean-up will go on for weeks, but also their help.
"We are asking for everyone’s help with clean up efforts and urge residents, if possible, to take as much debris as you can to the Transfer Station instead of leaving it curbside," a message from First Selectman Jamie Cosgrove's office reads.
"We are asking for everyone’s continued patience. We are fortunate that during this storm we did not have any residents sustain any critical injuries or loss of life," the message reads. "As a community, we will continue to work together to clean up, recover and rebuild after this devastating storm."

For folks unable to bring storm brush and limbs to the dump, the town will pick up provide curbside collection service for tree debris less than 8 feet in length and up to 8 inches in diameter.
The town also noted that contractors hired for storm cleanup cannot leave debris at the curb; it will not be picked up.
