Large Truck Fire In Branford, Fire Officials Say

BRANFORD, CT — Branford firefighters extinguished a large truck fire on Friday.

At 6:15 a.m. fire crews responded to a large truck fire on the exit 56 off-ramp, East Industrial Road.

Arriving units found the tractor of a tractor trailer rig fully involved in fire, officials said. The fire was extinguished without any injuries, officials said.

The Guilford Fire Department responded to the scene. The fire is attributed to mechanical failure, officials said. The exact cause or component is undetermined at this time.
