State Transportation Department Set To Install Wrong-Way Detection Systems At Branford I-95 Exit Wednesday

The installation at Exit 55 northbound and southbound ramps is set from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., according to police and the DOT.

BRANFORD, CT—The state Department of Transportation is set to install Interstate-95 Wrong Way Detection Systems at the Exit 55 northbound and southbound ramps on Wednesday.

The installation is set from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., according to police and the DOT.

"Wrong-way driving is one of the most dangerous situations on our roadways," Branford police posted to Facebook. "These new detection systems are designed to alert drivers immediately and notify emergency services faster, helping prevent serious crashes and save lives."
