Local birder Chris Woerner will lead these popular walks along the Stony Creek Trolley Trail and into the Land Trust’s Vedder property.

Local birder Chris Woerner will lead these popular walks along the Stony Creek Trolley Trail and into the Land Trust’s Vedder property. Woerner will help walkers identify migrating and resident birds by sight and sound.

"It should be a fun and exciting walk for both adults and families," the BLT noted in a news release.

Woerner, a long-time Stony Creek resident, has been birding for decades locally as well as in South America, Europe, and Asia.

"He enjoys sharing his extensive knowledge with young and old alike, as folks know from the annual Animal Tracking classes he leads every winter," the Land Trust shared.

Walkers will meet in Stony Creek at the far end of West Point Road across from the Willoughby Wallace Library.

"Choose the day that fits best into your schedule, or for birding enthusiasts, attend both walks, as the birds may vary on each day.
