From Branford Community Gardens:
BRANFORD, CT — Help us grow fresh food for Branford neighbors by participating in our Adopt-a-Plot program.
The Branford Community Gardens (BCG), an all-volunteer nonprofit dedicated to organically grown food and community connection, is proud to announce the launch of its first-ever Adopt- a-Plot Sponsorship Program for the 2026 growing season in support of the Seed, Weed, and Feed (SWF) program. The signature program, SWF produces fresh, organic vegetables for weekly donation to the Branford Food Pantry and Community Dining Room from April through October!

Contributions will help fund essential garden needs including soil, tools, water access, infrastructure improvements, and community programming, ensuring the garden remains vibrant, productive, and accessible.
Located in Branford, BCG provides residents with the opportunity to grow their own food, learn sustainable gardening practices, and connect with neighbors. The garden also plays an important role in promoting local food access and environmental stewardship.

"This is an exciting step for us," said Malaine Trecoske, Seed, Weed and Feed Coordinator. "As a fully volunteer-run organization, community support is what makes everything possible. The Adopt-a-Plot program creates a simple, meaningful way for people to invest in the garden and
make a difference for those experiencing food insecurity."
Sponsors will be recognized on signage at the garden, on the BCG website, and in select promotional materials.
Sponsorships are available at multiple levels, from starting to sustaining the growing season, making it easy for community members and businesses alike to get involved.
BCG hopes the program will not only strengthen financial sustainability but also deepen community engagement by giving supporters a visible and lasting connection to the space.
Those interested in becoming a sponsor can learn more and sign up through the online Sponsorship Form by visiting bit.ly/48601vn or our website, branfordctgardens.org. Early participation is encouraged for optimal support!
