Kathryn "Kay" (Thomas) Inzero, 85, formerly of Branford, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2026 at home surrounded by her family. She was born September 23, 1940 in New Haven to James and Edna (Carroi) Thomas. Kay was a beloved mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend.
Kay is survived by her daughters, Shelley McConnell (Kevin) of Mauldin, SC and Gail Inzero of Simpsonville, SC; a brother, James C. Thomas, Jr. (Jean) of Wallingford, CT; grandchildren, Andrew McConnell (Crista) and Morgan McConnell; many nieces and nephews; and her special friends, Nikki LaFan and Chickie Beatty.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ronald A. Inzero, Sr. (2003); her son, Ronald A. Inzero, Jr.; and her special friends, Lucille Pascarella and Linda Schroeder.
Kathryn was "Momma Kay" to everyone who knew her, because she always took the time to listen. Kay was an overall lover of sports, but her favorites were Yale Football, NY Giants, UConn Men's and Women's Basketball. She loved tap dancing, reading, going on cruises, holidays (especially Christmas), and spending time with her family.
She worked with the VNA (Visiting Nurse Association) caring for the elderly for many years.
Family will receive friends on Saturday June 6, 2026 from 11 AM until the time of service at 12 PM (NOON) in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, CT. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Prisma Health Hospice of the Foothills, 440 Roper Mountain Road C, Greenville, SC 29615 in memory of Kathryn "Kay" Inzero.
