BRANFORD, CT — The Branford Police Department welcomed its newest officer in a Facebook post.

Christopher Morris grew up in Clinton.

Morris, who went to Western New England University to play football, recently graduated, having earned a bachelor's degree in finance.

"We are lucky to have Officer Morris with us, and he is looking forward to starting his career in law enforcement," police wrote. "Wishing him a safe and successful career in Branford."
