BRANFORD, CT — Preparation work and the initial stages of construction for the town's 2026 Road Improvement and Resurfacing Project is set to get underway Aug. 10, weather permitting, the public works department announced.
Florence and Orchard Hill roads will be "reclaimed and resurfaced." Paving operations will follow as the project progresses.
The Public Works Department advises that motorists and residents should expect minor traffic delays and occasional detours during construction.
The Town of Branford and the Department of Public Works are not responsible for damage to irrigation systems, sprinkler heads, invisible fences, stone or brick driveway aprons, or any other private improvements located within the Town's right-of-way," the department noted.
For residents of both roads, officials ask that there be no street parking from sunrise to sunset during road work.
