Jean grew up in Shelton, CT, and later lived in New Haven and West Haven before settling in Branford, CT. Before moving into a group-home community, Jean worked at Duchess Restaurant, a job she took great pride in and held for a number of years.

Jean spent her life touching the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her, forming profound connections with friends, caregivers, and housemates throughout the years. Jean found joy in the simple pleasures of daily life and treasured the companionship of those around her. She loved shopping, going to movies, trying new restaurants, listening to music, and exploring. She greeted each day with zest and enthusiasm, never failing to remind everyone around her that she was, above all, "Jean Bean, the Dancing Machine."

Jean was known for her kind heart, friendly nature, and the joy she brought to those around her. Though she will be deeply missed, the memories of her laughter, her dancing, and the love she shared will live in the hearts of all who knew her. May her spirit continue to dance on, and may her memory forever be a blessing.

Friends will be received on Saturday August 29, 2026 from 1 PM until the time of service at 2 PM in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Burial will be private at Riverside Cemetery in Shelton CT.
