In New Haven August 18, 2011, Anthony S. Bozzuto, Jr., beloved husband of the late Phyllis Struzinski Bozzuto of Branford.
He was born May 2, 1933 in New Haven, son of the late Anthony S. and Mary Vendola Bozzuto. He was the retired owner of the former Bozzuto's Carting Company, Inc. of Branford.
Tony was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Eldorado Council 10 in Branford, and a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus with the John Barry Assembly. He was a member of the Branford Elks Club, BPOE 1939. Tony was an avid golfer, devoted Yankee fan, and antique car collector.
His family would like to extend a very warm and sincere thank you to the health care workers at Yale-New Haven Hospital for their outstanding care and excellence.
He is survived by his children, Anthony (Stephanie) Bozzuto of North Branford, Michael (Donna) Bozzuto, and Laurie Bozzuto, of Branford, his brother John Bozzuto of Northford, and his nine devoted grandchildren, who brought great joy to his life every day.
Relatives and friends may call Sunday from 3 – 7 PM at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St., Branford, and are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial, Monday morning at 10:00 in St. Mary Church, Branford. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Branford.
