The Annual Branford Road Race Is Sunday, Father's Day

With races/walks beginning at 9 a.m. and starting at the Branford Town Green, there's a 5-mile race, a 2-mile walk and a kid fun run.

BRANFORD, CT — A Branford tradition founded by Ray Figlewski and Dick Wainman, the Branford Road Race is set for Sunday, as per its usual, held annually on Father’s Day.

The event traditionally draws a crowd of over 5,000 runners, walkers, spectators, and volunteers, founders say, and it raises funds for Camp Rising Sun, Notre Dame High School and other community organizations.

The 5-mile race, 2-mile health walks and Read to Grow 1-mile family fun run are traditionally staged on the Branford Green. Participants can enjoy t-shirts, refreshments, food, vendors, kids activities, and more.

The Read to Grow 1 mile family fun run is timed with hundreds of participants running around the historic Branford Green.
