Part I **** A BOY'S LIFE IN 1865****Llewellyn Barker's diaries, found in a Branford attic, span 1865-1937.
Do you wonder what a fourteen year old boy's life was like in 1865? Llewellyn Barker (1850-1937) grew up in the Mill Plain section of Branford (see map-Supply Pond to L; I-95 at bottom). He started writing in 1865 from age fourteen until the day before he died in 1937. The following show daily life as a young boy.
