Big Shake-Up at WTNH-TV As Two Long-Time News Personalities Out
A well-known weather forecaster and news reporter announced they would leave the station later this month.

NEW HAVEN, CT - Two well-known personalities on WTNH-TV announced on Facebook on Sunday that they will be leaving the station.
Weatherman Kevin Arnone and reporter Renee Chmiel announced in separate posts their pending departures – both on January 17th.
Arnone said: “This is a tough post to write to you guys but I want to let you all know next weekend will be my last weekend on air at WTNH. My official last day here will be on January 17th. I want to thank WTNH for starting my dream career and giving me 4 amazing years of experience, growth and of course letting me forecast on TV in the same area where I grew up. Thank you to my coworkers and managers for supporting me and believing in me since the day I started at WTNH. Most importantly, I can’t thank YOU viewers enough for being a part of this journey and waking up with me every morning! The Facebook messages, tweets, Instagram likes and of course weather reports from you make it easier to wake up when the alarm goes off at 2:45 AM! I look forward to this new adventure and I’ll keep you all up to date on where I go next! Thank you all again for the support the last 4 years and make sure you tune in next weekend to catch me one last time here at WTNH!”
