Police Identify Body Found in Branford: UPDATE
Police are continuing to investigate the untimely death that they say appears to be "suspicious in nature."
BRANFORD, CT — UPDATE: Branford Police have identified the person found dead on the side of the road on “Tabor Property” Wednesday morning as Joseph Miller, 28, of Branford.
Branford Police Detectives are working collectively with members of the Connecticut State Police, Central District Major Crime, New Haven State’s Attorney’s Office and Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to investigate the untimely death.
Police were notified at approximately 7:30 a.m. by an employee from the Department of Public Works that he had discovered a body lying on the side of the dirt roadway that connects the end of Ark Road to Pine Orchard Road.

The parcel of land is owned by the town and is known as the “Tabor Property.”
Detective Lieutenant John Finkle, who is leading the investigation, estimates that Miller’s body has been at the side of the dirt road since last evening and said at this point his death appears to be “suspicious in nature.”

“Our investigators will work closely with the CSP and the other agencies involved to determine all of the facts and circumstances surrounding this untimely death and ultimately its cause,” Finkle said in a press release.
