Branford Book & Card, #1 seed coming into the playoffs, knocked off #2 seed Evans Mobil 88-79 in the Recreation Department's Men's Basketball League championship game Thursday.
Mike Tamsin led the way for Book & Card with 38 points, including a 27-point second half performance and 12 for 15 free throw shooting. Teammate Ed Preiss added 26 points while Bill Lee chipped in with 18 points in the win for Book & Card.
