It's amazing how a few bamboo stakes from used to straighten out the chicken wire around the garden makes me happy. The heavy snow over the winter got trapped on the bird netting on the top of the garden and forced the wire to sag. Now fully weeded and bolstered by stakes, Sunday cannot come soon enough. I feel the way the dad in A Christmas Story feels about turkey–a fiendish gleam in my eyes, rubbing my hands together in anticipation.
