Though it is counter-intuitive to cut healthy shoots, the tomatillos were pushing through the chicken wire on both sides, drooped to the ground under the weight of their fruit (and lack of support) and using my serrano plants as crutches. So they had to be pruned (and re-supported - it's starting to look like a road map made of twine in there). The serranos looked and smelled ready, but when I added five to my , no heat! Going to have to curb the impatience just a little. There is some decent growth on one of the tomato plants and I see a tiny habanero thinking about sprouting.
