Captain's Log: Week 18 Where's Mr. Heat Miser When You Need Him?

Organic gardening.

The sudden cold nights are extremely detrimental to the habaneros.  I've got three bushy plants with plenty of green fruit, and so far, I've only been able to pick one fiery red one.  Two more have started to turn, but if the nights keep like this, they'll die on the vine.  The serranos are still going strong and the giant tomatillo pant that was split during Irene has still managed to produce decent-sized fruit.  I pulled in a nice harvest, but am till disheartened at the thought of my habaneros dying before they've even had a chance to inflict certain pain on taste buds.
