Captain's Log: Week Three - A Mini Harvest

A relaxing hobby, this gardening.

Green clovers-not my lucky charms when it comes to weeding the garden. They are bloody everywhere! And those purple things, too.  Yes, yes - lucky, pretty, delicate - you're IN THE WAY of my plants' right to grow.  You and the ants - you're in it together.  Do you supply the ants with food?  Offer them shade?  Camouflage?  Do you send out warning pheromones when I come to the garden with cornmeal so they can burrow into the ground and make me feel like I've made some headway only to find perforated leaves on my tomatillos?  And YOU!  Ants!  There is an entire yard here for you to live out your meaningless existence.  Why do you journey to my garden and eat my leaves?  How do you expect these vegetables to appropriately photosynthesise, when they've GOT NO COLLECTORS?  You do understand the purpose of chlorophyll, don't you, you segmented, pincered, lilliputian aliens?
