Not a huge difference from last week, though finally, the sun has come back. Growth continues, as does the ant population. I've dusted the garden with cornmeal, which is supposed to deter ("kill") ants. As I was measuring the plant life, there it was; hidden under the ample leaves of one of the strawberry sentinels was the first strawberry of the season! Bring on the deluge of fresh, sweet, soft strawberries! My adversary to the Ant Army may have numbers, but I have flip flops and cinnamon (another ant deterrent)–we'll see who the victor is...
