HCC Winter Session Starts Jan. 2

Housatonic Community College's winter session, an intensive program that allows students to complete three- or four-credit courses in less than three weeks, begins Jan. 2.

BRIDGEPORT – Housatonic Community College’s winter session, an intensive program that allows students to complete three- or four-credit courses in less than three weeks, begins Jan. 2.

The list of courses includes both online and classroom offerings. The latter meet for three hours a day, five days a week.

Courses in Art, Biology, Communication and Speech, Deaf/Developmental Studies, English, History, Mathematics Music, Philosophy, Psychology and Sociology are being offered. Tuition is $510, including fees, for a three-credit course and $659, including fees, for  a four credit course.

Winter session courses are viewed as a way for students to make up credits, accumulate more towards an early graduation or transfer credits to another institution.

Housatonic is located at 900 Lafayette Blvd. in downtown Bridgeport, less than 150 yards off I-95 (exit 27) and Rte. 8 (Exit 1), a block from the Harbor Yard Sports Complex. Free parking is available in the Housatonic garage.
