Schools Out

A Branford farm story.

I was going through some of my old Branford photos and came across some that brought back some childhood memories. Growing up in the Indian Neck section of Branford, I remember school being over for summer vacation and those early mornings picking strawberrys at 10 cents a quart for Louis Sansone on land he farmed on Melrose Avenue. The land was owned by Wallace Foote and is now the home of Foote Memorial Park.
