Wheelchair Dancing and Wheelchair Seating
A movie about wheelchair dancing and a wheelchair seat linked by motion.
Okay, so what is the connection between wheelchair dancing and wheelchair seating? Besides the fact that the producer of the film is my business partner for KiSS, the connection is motion.
Before partnering with KiSS, Janet wrote the story for : A young girl, an aspiring dancer, suffers a spinal cord injury and finds new hope in wheelchair dancing. When EJ Bonilla, who plays Armando tries to encourage Mia (played by Leah Pipes) to try to dance again, he says: "It's not just about dancing...it's about movement and the way you feel when you move!"
The KiSS wheelchair seat let's a wheelchair user's body move. Isn't that nice?! While this may not be the seat for every wheelchair user (I actually think it is), how many able-bodied people could sit all day long in a fixed position without being able to move? Most people who work at a desk would not tolerate sitting in a chair that doesn't move. Then, why do we put a person in a wheelchair for the rest of their life in a seat that doesn't move?!

Okay, back to the wheelchair dancing and wheelchair seating connection. Many have asked me if the KiSS wheelchair seat is in the movie, Musical Chairs. The answer is: NO, my wheelchair seat is not in the film. Janet wrote the story long before she knew about my invention. However, the KiSS seat fits into many of the wheelchairs that are in the movie: Colours, Invacare and the Quickie wheelchair frames.
I'd like to end this note on Wheelchair Dancing With The Stars. Do you want to get your pulse up (without having to go for a run)?! Watch the trailer! www.musicalchairsthefilm.com
