Branford Announces Transfer Station Closure Dates, Tree Drop-Off

The Transfer Station will be closed Christmas Day and New Year's Day; residents may bring trees to be chipped for mulch on other dates.

The Transfer Station will be closed Friday, December 25th in observance of Christmas Day.

The Transfer Station will also be closed on Saturday, December 26th and again on Friday, January 1st in observance of New Year’s Day, they will be open on Saturday, January 2nd.

There will be no collections those days and there will be no delays in curbside collections those weeks.

For those with a living Christmas tree please remember the Town of Branford does not collect them curbside.

Boy Scout Troop 428 is offering a pick up again this year:

As a Branford resident you always have the option to bring your tree to the Transfer Station facility where the trees are chipped and mulch is made available for you, proof of residency must be provided upon entry, either with your resident sticker or your driver’s license and registration.

Please remember to remove all ornaments, tinsel, lights and any other decorative materials including tree stands.
