Branford Arts & Cultural Alliance's February Programming For Youth, Artists
Programs include an 'artistic penguins' painting class for kids 8-12, how-to workshop on transforming old books decorative art pieces.
BRANFORD, CT – The Branford Arts & Cultural Alliance announced its diverse lineup of art classes and workshops for February.
The lineup offers creative opportunities for children, teens, and adult artists, all held at BACA's Main Street gallery.

Monday, February 16, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM Children ages 8-12 are invited to join teaching artist Sharon Hart for a special winter-themed art class. Young artists will create their own artistic penguin projects in this hands-on workshop. Cost: $10
Teen Drawing Class

Monday, February 16, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM Teens ages 12-18 can develop their drawing skills with instructor Edith Reynolds in this afternoon session. This class provides an opportunity for young artists to refine their techniques and explore creative expression. Cost: $10
Artist to Artist (A2A): Macro Photography Workshop
Monday, February 23, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM BACA's professional development series continues with photographer Robert Thomas, who will lead a workshop on macro photography techniques. This A2A program is free and open to the public, welcoming artists of all skill levels to explore the art of close-up photography.
Book Art Workshop
Wednesday, February 25, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Sharon Hart returns to guide participants in transforming old books into usable and decorative art pieces. This evening workshop offers a creative approach to upcycling and artistic repurposing. Cost: $10
