Branford Board Of Ed Member Resigns, Board Vote To Fill Vacancy

Interested candidates are asked to attend a special BOE meeting May 14 for an interview. The Board will take a vote afterward.

BRANFORD, CT — A simply worded post on the town's Facebook page Monday morning announced that a Board of Education member has resigned.

The community message, written by BOE chair Peter A. Berdon, did not include the member's name.

The BOE has received the resignation of one of its members. In accordance with the BOE's Bylaws and state statutes, the vacancy will be filled by a vote of the remaining members of the BOE.

The BOE invites anyone interested in serving on the BOE to submit a letter of interest and a resume to: keyrich@branfordschools.org by 12 noon on May 12, 2025.

Interested candidates will be asked to come to a special meeting of the BOE on May 14, 2025 for an interview. The Board will take a vote thereafter.
