Branford Celebrates Birthday With Water Lantern Festival

The magical night will include food, music and beauty as the lanterns reflect upon the water.

Town of Branford: In keeping up with the town’s 375 birthday celebration, the Town of Branford would like to announce and cordially invite everyone to its Water Lantern Festival. The magical night will include food, music and beauty as the lanterns reflect upon the water.

Branford Point (Parker Memorial Park) will be the sight of the Water Lantern Festival, located on Harbor Street on Saturday, September 7th from 4:30 to 9:00 p.m. This festival is filled with fun, happiness, hope and great memories that you will cherish for a lifetime. This is a family friendly event that can be shared by everyone. Friends, families, neighbors, and lots of people that you haven’t met will come together to create a peaceful, memorable experience.
Tickets range from $25.00 to $40.00 per person and can be purchased online at: www.branford375.com ; www.branfordrecreation.org/ or https://www.waterlanternfestival.com/newhaven.php.

Each adult ticket comes with the following: a Floating Lantern to personally decorate, design, or write a special message and set in the water, a Commemorative drawstring bag, Marker, and Wristband. All Lanterns are retrieved and water clean-up will be done at the end of the event, but participants will not be able to keep the lanterns at the end of the festival.
