Branford Community and Beyond Comes Out to Aid Hope
Hope was nearly starved to death but after each week she continues to rebound from major health issues she endured.

BRANFORD, CT — Once news surfaced that a dog was nearly starved to death almost a month ago, Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter staff have been attending to the dog they named 'Hope' around the clock.
This past weekend numerous fundraisers were held to help with Hope's medical expenses and care.
The shelter shared information on some of the events.

A special thank you to Tisko Elementary School and Mrs. DeBlasio's 3rd Grade Class for their hard work and dedication in organizing a "Crazy Hair Day" for Hope. They made posters and came up with the idea that for a donation you can wear crazy hair to benefit DCAS and Hope. We thank everyone for their generosity!

Hi Everyone Here is the Hope update for today!
So how do we as humans understand “happiness” in dogs???? Well Hope is showing us in this video! She is full of play and happy here!
Hope is inspirational!
She is doing absolutely outstanding! Hope is now eating every six hours and she is getting larger meals. She still is at an 18 pound weight gain and she is just acting like a normal dog at this point!
She will still be under 24 hour care for a bit longer because both her intestines and liver still need to be on watch. Her kidneys are functioning normally now and we are extremely happy with her progress!
We are so grateful again for all of your support and your prayers for Hope! And we are ecstatic to see her acting like a playful girl!
