Branford Cop Sues Town Over Firing: Report
The officer claims he was wrongly fired over a grievance.

BRANFORD, CT — Former Branford Police Officer Luigi Amasino, the handler of the department's K-9 Officer named Joker, has sued the town over his recent firing, reports the Branford Eagle.
Amasino, a 10-year veteran of the force, claims he was wrongly fired after he would not withdraw a grievance he filed in December over a suspension.
The lawsuit claims that the department's chief, Kevin Halloran, allegedly threatened to end the officer's career if he didn't withdraw the grievance. Chief Halloran declined to comment on the case to the publication.
