Branford DUI Driver In Wrong Place at Wrong Time

BRANFORD, CT - Drinking and driving is never a good combination. It's an even worse one when you wind up driving a car up on the front lawn where police are at the scene investigating a domestic violence incident.

That's what happened recently, according to Police Chief Kevin Halloran, who related the story to the Board of Police Commissioners when going over the most recent crime statistics.

"This one's interesting," Halloran told the commissioners. "We were at the scene of a family violence incident and somebody just drove up on the front lawn of the house.

"It wasn't his house," said the chief, who added the person was arrested after failing a sobriety test.
