The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:
I believe that Climate Change and Economic development are two of the most important issues facing Branford right now. Being a shoreline town gives us wonderful advantages but also makes us more vulnerable to climate change. I will support initiatives designed to protect our coastline from rising seas.
Critical differences between me and my opponents:
I will bring a unique set of skills to Branford politics with a promise to listen to all sides of each issue and to vote my conscience. My lifelong career in public education gave me practice in collaboration, good listening, compromise, and problem-solving.
Accomplishments:
My 35 years of experience in public education as a school psychologist perfected my listening and communication skills. I am able to hear all sides of an issue and come to the table with the willingness to compromise in difficult negotiations.
Other issues:
It is our responsibility as parents, citizens, and human beings to address the issues that face our planet.
What else would you like voters to know about you?
I will listen to the concerns voiced by the residents of Branford, and I am committed to addressing those concerns to the best of my ability.
