The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:

The single most pressing issue facing our town is the existential threat of climate change and sea level rise on our coastal community - and this is what I intend to do about it: • Promote community actions and programs that address climate change and coastal resilience • Work to assure that Branford has the financial resources to address climate issues based on access to state and federal assistance programs

Critical differences between me and my opponents:

The critical difference between me and many other candidates for the RTM is: • Commitment to moving Branford toward a sustainable environment aligned with federal and international climate goals • Commitment to maintaining Branford’s reputation as a community with a high quality and balanced residential and commercial lifestyle • Careful and selective commercial development favoring innovative technology-based business • Preservation of our coastal and open space assets

Accomplishments:

The following past accomplishments are evidence of my qualifications to continue as a District 2 RTM representative: • Rules and Ordinances Committee co-author of Branford's Blight Ordinance, Boats and Boating Ordinance amendments, Town Parking lot rules Ordinance, Plastic Bag Ban Ordinance, and an Ordinance establishing standardized procedures allowing effective ordinance enforcement • Initiated the establishment of the Coastal Vulnerability Working Group and current Chairperson

Other issues:

Other issues that define my campaign platform are a commitment to responsible fiscal management of the town and the promotion of responsible development that enhances the quality of life in Branford while preserving our natural assets

What else would you like voters to know about you?

Other things voters might like to know about me include: • Founder (retired) of one of Connecticut’s largest architectural firms • USCG licensed Ship Master (captain)
