The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:
Economic Development - Our town has space that is ripe for biotech and other industries to build their businesses and bringing jobs and young families into town.
Critical differences between me and my opponents:
I would represent all of the folks in my district as opposed to only those who cast their vote for me. I have never been approached by any of the GOP members on the RTM to weigh in on any issue they’ve been asked to vote for.
Accomplishments:
I was the first female Democratic moderator of the RTM in the late 90s. I became a member of the town committee soon after I moved to Branford in the late 70s. I’ve always been civic minded and really interested in what issues are important to other town residents.
Other issues:
I think all Branford residents can say they want to feel safe, relative to the police and fire departments, they want to keep our taxes low, and they want a good school system for our children. All of these are important issues.
What else would you like voters to know about you?
I just retired from a 31 year career with the State of Connecticut Judicial Branch, having served as a Bail Commissioner, an affirmative-action division coordinator, and a Chief Probation Officer. I have a BS in Business and an MS in Criminal Justice Mgmt.
