Branford Fire Department Busy During Weekend's Stormy Weather

BRANFORD, CT - During this past weekend's storm the Branford Fire Department responded to 45 incidents between 8 a.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Monday, according to the department's Facebook page.

In addition to 25 EMS and rescue related emergencies, crews responded to numerous power line issues, a tree on a home and two chimney fires, according to officials. One of the chimney fires required crews to work in the fierce lightning wind and hail, officials said.
