Branford Fire Hosted Aerial Operator Course, Area Firefighters Attend

Hosted by BFD, taught by Connecticut Fire Academy instructors, area firefighters, including from East Haven, review aerial operations.

BRANFORD, CT — Hosted by the Branford Fire Department, and taught by the Connecticut Fire academy, area firefighters, including from East Haven, attended a two-day Aerial Operator course. The course reviewed road handling, apparatus placement, mobilization and stabilization, elevation, various aerial operations, and apparatus readiness, the BFD shared on Facebook.

Ten Branford firefighters attended the 48-hour Aerial Operator course: Congratulations Firefighters Spooner, Wrede, R. O’Donnell, K. O’Donnell, Ghiroli, Mazzarella, Brown, Canny, Gionteris, and Desruisseaux.

East Haven Fire Chief Matthew Marcarelli did too, as five EHFD firefighters participated: Captain Brian Wilonski, East Haven Firefighters Local 1205 Jon Mustacchi, Adam Ordway, Tim Proto and Sal Carlo.
