Branford Firefighters Battle House Fire: Report

Firefighters also responded to a brush fire, motor vehicle accident and a microwave fire all on Friday.

BRANFORD, CT - Firefighters from Branford and Guilford helped extinguish a fire at 287 E. Main Street early Friday morning, the New Haven Register reports.

The fire occurred at a home at the RiverWalk adult community. The fire began in the kitchen around 6:30 a.m. The house has some damage to the kitchen and dining room but is still liveable, the Register reports.

On Facebook, the Branford Fire Union wrote, “It's been a busy day so far for The Branford Fire Department. Today's responses, so far, have included a working residential kitchen fire, a brush fire, a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 95, and a minor microwave fire at a motel.”
