Branford Firefighters Rescue Driver After a Crash

The accident Wednesday evening resulted in multi-vehicles, officials said.

BRANFORD, CT - The Branford Fire Department was called to a multi-car accident on Interstate 95 southbound just past the Exit 53 on-ramp at 10:40 p.m. Wednesday, fire officials said on social media.

One patient required extrication using the "Jaws of Life."

Engine 1, Rescue 1, Medic 1, Medic 2, Ambulance 3 and Car 6 operated on scene for more than an hour while Engine 2, Car 5 and a Guilford Fire Department Ambulance provided cover for the town, fire officials said. The Connecticut State Police are Investigating.
