Branford Grammar School Softball Team Takes 2nd Place

The Branford grammar school softball team took 2nd place in the Shoreline Sting Fall-Ball League.

The team consisted of girls ranging from 3rd to 7th grade with no travel experience.
The coach, Tom Cofrancesco said “That’s what makes this team so special, we had
several travel teams in our division so for eight weeks playing double headers every
Saturday against that type of competition and then making it to the championship
game and taking home the runners up trophy was really impressive. All the credit goes to the kids, these girls worked so hard all summer long practicing 2 and sometimes 3 times a week,
they stuck together, believed and supported each other, I am so proud and fortunate to
have coached such a great group of kids.”
