TOWN OF BRANFORD POSTING HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT
CURRENTLY RECRUITING FOR THE POSITION OF
PART TIME POLICE RECORDS CLERK
TOWN OF BRANFORD POLICE DEPARTMENT
$13.63 per hour, maximum 19.5 hours per week
Date of Notice: July 1, 2016
Applications will be accepted until July 29, 2016
Essential Functions:
Handling police records, filing, typing and other routine clerical duties plus communicating effectively with the public. Working with Excel, Word and other standard programs to complete documents. Communicating with the public over the phone and in person.
Minimum Required Qualification:
Graduation from high school or GED with specialized course work in general office. A strong working knowledge of computers, especially word with significant/accurate typing skills, data entry, ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Two years of general office and customer service experience a plus.

The Town of Branford reserves the right to limit the number of qualified candidates who will be considered for the position.
The files of all qualified candidates will be maintained for a minimum of six months from the announcement date, and the qualified candidates will be considered for the same or similar positions which may become available during this timeframe.
All candidates must successfully pass a post-offer medical examination, which includes a substance abuse test given at the Town's expense.
The Town of Branford conducts background investigations for all positions prior to hiring. Refusal to sign the release form will terminate the candidate from further consideration.
